What's your sign?
Or animal? Or tree…?
I would consider myself a woman of science. Using logic and reasoning to make sense of the world, well, just makes sense. But science can only go so far. Science has no explanations for the miraculous, only postulations and weak hypotheses.

Happy Week-iversary!
In relationships, celebrating a one-week anniversary may seem a little excessive, especially for those of us who are no longer twelve years old. But since I started my blogging venture just one short week ago, I feel as if I’ve accomplished some serious goals.

Creatures of the Night
I’ve always been amazed at the ability of some people to set their alarm and wake up when it goes off. Personally, I have no concept of how to perform such a task. I set my alarm (when I have to set my alarm) an hour before I need to get up so that I can push that snooze button (a masterful invention in my opinion) at least 6 times, though I probably squeeze a couple more in for good measure. Don’t get me wrong, I hate the sound of the alarm, so much so that I ban products that feature that dastardly sound in their television ads. But, I rarely remember hearing the sound more than once or twice when I actually wake up. Pushing the snooze button has become such a natural part of my waking process that I don’t even wake up to do it.

Beauty Blahs
I have never been the kind of girl to put much effort into her looks. I shower and brush my teeth most days and I brush my hair when it starts to look scraggly. I think my attitude toward beauty comes from my disdain for the fact that men don’t have to have beauty routines. I know, times, they are a-changing, but most (straight)men put very little effort into the way they present themselves to the world. So I figure, in the name of equality and all that jazz, I should adopt a similar attitude.

Asians are small. Very, very small..
My current unemployment situation has me exploring my options for work outside of the US. Being of Thai heritage, it seems fitting that I should at least consider going to Thailand to teach English. This should be a fairly easy task, because of what I’ve heard from family who live in Thailand, they are in need of English teachers and having a degree in education myself, I should be a fine candidate. There is only one small, itsy-bitsy trifle of a thing holding me back: how tiny Asians are. Or if you want the real fact of the matter: how HUGE and American I am.
